TAASA’s statewide initiative called Texas Men S.P.E.A.K. (Supporting Prevention Education Advocacy & Knowledge) brings a diverse group of male-identified individuals engaged in both violence prevention education and victim advocacy together for monthly virtual discussions on a range of topics related to masculinities.

Engaging Boys and Men in the Prevention of Sexual Violence
TAASA is proud to be a national leader in engaging boys and men in preventing sexual violence. For more than a decade we have supported individuals, organizations, and institutions in Texas with mentoring, state-wide network building, and material development. We are committed to organizing and training a new generation of boys and men working to prevent sexual violence in their communities.

Supporting Male-Identified Survivors of Sexual Violence
2.1 million adult men in Texas have experienced some form of sexual assault in their lifetime. - Health and Well-being: Texas Statewide Sexual Assault Prevalence Study. (2015).
TAASA works diligently to ensure that all sexual violence victims and survivors, especially male-identified individuals have access to support services at Texas rape crisis centers. We are committed to meeting this goal by providing comprehensive training and technical assistance services to victim advocates and rape crisis centers working to provide or enhance services for male-identified survivors of sexual violence.
