Learning

TAASA leverages strategic local, state and national partnerships to learn what works in healing and preventing sexual violence in the ever-evolving context of addressing and ending sexual assault. Currently, our two main initiatives are the Texas Campus Initiative and Collective Healing Initiative.

Texas Campus Initiative

The Texas Campus Initiative is a collaborative effort between TAASA, local sexual assault programs, and Hispanic Serving Institutions to develop culturally-specific prevention and response strategies to create meaningful changes that decrease sexual violence on small, diverse Texas campuses.

Collective Healing Initiative

The objective of the Collective Healing Initiative is to foster a network dedicated to the wellness and healing of black, indigenous, and other communities of color. By prioritizing culturally-affirming practices, we hope to support the important work of healing from complex and historical trauma, including sexual violence. For more information, email collectivehealing@taasa.org.

TAASA Data Retreat

Our annual data retreats are designed to provide agency program staff the time and support to think about how to best determine program success, how to collect data, and what to do with data after you've collected it. We provide time and support to simply create a plan or determine how to put the data you’ve collected to use. If you’re interested in attending a data retreat, please email mpilgrim@taasa.org.
