Communications
Our philosophy is to partner with media outlets as a resource for accurate and survivor-centered reporting, journalism, and broadcasting. Our goal is to inform the public of the realities of sexual assault and our role in creating a Texas free from sexual violence.

Public Campaigns
Turn Texas Teal
The online strategy during Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month (SAAPM) is to saturate social media outlets with survivor-centered posts that create awareness on the reality and prevention of sexual assault. This year, TAASA asked Texans to use social media to #TurnTexasTeal. Visit our SAAPM page for more details.
Speak Up. Speak Out.
The “Speak Up. Speak Out.” campaign features ads of an actual Texas survivor of sexual assault, talking about their personal story. Their messages are about hope and healing, rather than victimization – reinforcing the campaign’s goal to inform the public about sexual assault crisis services and to encourage dialogue across Texas.
