Training & Technical Assistance


TAASA staff train on a wide variety of sexual assault issues and related topics that apply to advocates, counselors, criminal justice and the general public. Topics include In addition, workshops and technical assistance are available for the primary prevention of violence, board development, strategic planning, capacity building, sexual assault advocate training certification, volunteer program management, general marketing and communication. Training is available throughout Texas at little to no cost.

Our eLearning program also offers expanded training options for advocates and law enforcement. Available courses can be taken at a time and location that’s convenient for you, without any cost or travel. Our first training series is developed for law enforcement, especially university police.

Primary Prevention

TAASA’s prevention team is available to provide training on a wide variety of prevention-related topics. A list of training categories include prevention 101, privilege and oppression, prevention skill building, and community engagement. This list is by no means exhaustive. TAASA prevention trainings are interactive and are designed to meet the needs of the specific audience we are working with.
