2016 June Webinars
At TAASA, we are making efforts to reach a broader audience with our outreach. We recognize the importance of offering our materials, information, and services in ways that make them more accessible to all Texans. For some time we have made many of our brochures available in languages other than English. Recently we translated much of our website into Spanish. Moving forward, we plan to offer workshops and webinars in languages other than English when possible. In the month of June all TAASA webinars will be presented in Spanish. It is not necessary to read or write in Spanish to attend any of the webinars.

Denim Day has become a revered event for local rape crisis centers during Sexual Assault Awareness & Prevention month. This event signifies the transcendence of victim blaming across the globe. Most often the challenge for sexual assault victims and advocates is maneuvering a society and system guided by the misconceptions of sexual assault. The Texas Association Against Sexual Assault invites University Police Chiefs, Security Directors, & Campus Police Officers to attend its 4th Annual University Police Sexual Assault Training Conference (UPSAT). TAASA will cover travel expenses associated with this conference. There is room for more than one officer from each college or university to attend. Experts from across the country will present on sexual assault issues related to response, investigations, forensic exams, and experiencing burnout in the field.
